Your resonance is heavenly. It takes me to a very sweet place every time. I've only listened to part of the Samadhi Padah, on the Yoga Sutra CD but I have to tell you I love your voice, and your enunciation. Also, I love the cover.

Dearest Shri Manorama,
My name is Jen and I am one of the new Jivamukti teachers you inspired during this years training at Omega. I fell in love with sanskrit, and finding a way to study more deeply has continued to rumble around and in me since the training. I just want to take a moment to thank you for the gift of your teachings, but above all your presence. I continue to be inspired in my practice and teaching by your words, and by the memories i have of your light shining through to us. I hope that my path will again bring me into your guidance in the future.

What can I say, it was a very FULL weekend. I must say I learned more this past weekend than I have learned in quite a while thank you . It was such a pleasure to finally meet the woman behind the voice that drew me in about a year ago. Ma yes I really do go to sleep to your 'In All Beings' cd it soothe the soul and clears my mind, and I now have a better understanding of the music and culture and will be on a quest for more info about it. Well, what's the Point right. I have a better understanding of keeping point.

Your Bija CD is amazing and very powerful. Your soothing voice along with the vibrations of your chanting leads me deeper and deeper into stillness. The experience is one of serene inner peace and balance. When listening to it, I feel completely present in the moment. Thank you for sharing these wonderful Bija mantras with us and for creating a CD I could meditate to wherever I go.

Hi Manorama,
Just a quick note to say thank you so much for spending time with us
today. It was such a delight to learn from you. At the beginning I
felt completely intimidated, I must admit, but then I opened up my mind
with your help--and I learned so much about being a teacher and about
yoga and, of course, Sanskrit.
Thank you, especially, for reminding me that I have to know myself to
be a teacher. I suppose I knew that, but I didn't understand why I
don't feel ready quite yet to teach yoga--your comment today really
made me understand that I have some investigating to do first. How
invaluable.
Again, thank you. I am sure that our paths will cross again in the
near future.

Namaste Manorama,
I just wanted to thank you again for such a moving and informative workshop today. I felt compelled to write you an e-mail, and I am NOT an e-mail person! I have a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages. I enjoyed teaching, and I would like to think that I was a good teacher (I did get positive feedback from my students), but I wasn’t passionate about teaching English. So I didn’t do it for very long, primarily because I felt that I would be doing a disservice to others and myself. Your passion for Sanskrit is obvious, and you are a truly gifted and inspirational teacher. I am so grateful that you shared your knowledge and energy with all of us today. It was an amazing experience that exceeded all expectations. I know I will be very busy with my teacher training until June, but I hope to study Sanskrit with you in the future. I also hope/pray that when I start teaching Yoga, at least one of my students will depart with the same feelings that you sparked in me today.
Thank you again!

Today, enjoyed seeing what an accomplished and polished teacher you've become. And you sure stayed on
point!!! And learned a lot--you're really good at giving material for both new and "old" students. And so clever--you discussed abhyasa (repetition was your strong definition), then demonstrated it, even in the reading, as well as in the chanting. It's
these underlying threads that string everything together that shows your real mastery of both subject and method of presenting it to your students. And of course, it appears casual, almost effortless. As it is!! For you are in the flow and just let it happen. Now that's great teaching! From the inside, from the heart.

Dear Manorama,
First, I want to extend to you my most heartfelt thanks for the workshop last weekend at Ananda Ashram. It was my first time with you, but you touched me deeply. As much as I have longed to receive a mantra for years, I have never asked for one. After spending time with you, learning from you, chanting with you and receiving such a blessing in that experience, I knew that you were the one to ask. Thank you for giving me the gift of mantra and blessing me with your wisdom, clarity, and heart.

Dear Manorama:
After our workshop today at CYC, I came home, picked up my copy of Rumi, and read this:
We have fallen into the place where everything is music.
Daylight, full of small dancing particles,
And the one great turning, our souls,
Are dancing with you, without feet, they dance.
Can you see them when I whisper in your ear?
Thank you for your gracious whispers that arrive like thunder and strike like lightning, and yet, ironically, have taught me - more than anyone else’s shouting - about the immense power in the simple act of being silent. It was a privilege to be in your presence, and to witness your practice of creating the ideal learning space where everything was, in fact, divine music. When you ask me in the future if I am, as you advise, “doing something”, I am determined that my answer will be that I am I am still listening.

I'm left with a profound feeling that all is well. Some day I will wax poetic, for now, I just want to reach out and say hello and express my gratitude for your warnth.

Hello Manorama,
This is Munjal, I took your Sankrit class at Prana Yoga here in Miami about a month ago.
You'll be glad to hear I've been reading more about it, and working at it on a regular basis. (at least as regular as one can given daily life and its happenings). I also read thru the Devanani book and really enjoyed it. Coming from a background that is based heavily in science (in my case, mathematics and computer logic/programming) I found the articles to be quite stimulating and interesting. Where else can I find information about Sanskrit in this manner?
I look forward to taking your Level 2 class which Dona informed everyone of as taking place in June.

Not a day goes by that you are not present in my life .. either audible (one of your CDs) or just in my head (reading/writing the sanskrit material from this past summer's workshops).
You may have already heard we started a little sanskrit study group that meets every other Tuesday. Last Tuesday we decided to pick a chant from one of your CDs to practice so we can sing to you when you next come to Toronto. We did not know for sure when you would return to Toronto, but thought if we all thought positively and believed it would happen, it would.

Hi Ma!
Upon my return, played your Sarve Bhuteshu CD while I did an embodiment session. Both my client and I blissed out. Began working on the Saraswati mantra--1 hr. for first copy. It's full of double and triple letters--terrific way to learn devanagri! After I left you friday, my insides were dancing. As soon as my lips smile that "little smile," I am in a bliss state or meditative serenity, or silently beautiful and wonderful.

Jaya Manorama!
Thank you for a wonderful weekend of study. I so enjoy having you at the studio. You are welcome anytime.
We should most definitely discuss your returning again...sutra, sanskrit, gita...If you have fall dates open we can look ahead.
Many blessings to you for your teaching and insight.
A lotus for you,
Val, Director of Yoga Shala CT 2005
Manorama,
What a pleasure it was to meet you and experience your teaching. A co-worker asked me if I'd quit my job because I looked so peaceful. Blessings upon you and honor to all those who came before you. Tim, CT Yoga Shala 2005
Manorama Thank you so much for an excellent experience this weekend! I really enjoyed every minute of it! Though I know we only scratched the surface of Sanskrit I hope to keeping adding a bit more to what we’ve learned. SLOWLY!!!
Enjoy the spring like weather we are having today -
Tami, CT Yoga Center 2005
Hi Manorama, I wanted to thank you for this weekend in Miami . I cannot believe how much I learned in just two days. I seem to have gotten obsessed with Sanskrit. I keep copying the alphabet over and over again and I have talked of nothing else since I got to work this morning (which could be a problem as I am an ENGLISH teacher!). I started rereading the Yoga Sutras last night, and as I read each one, I copied the words in the script for more practice. I really enjoyed learning with you and I am already looking forward to July for 1B. (By the way, I just ordered your CD from the website… I should have bought it yesterday, but…oh well.)
I hope you had a safe flight home. Thank you again for everything this weekend… I loved every minute of it and I cannot wait to see you again
Namaste,
Laura, Miami March 2005
Om Shanti Sri Manorama, I wanted to express my gratitude to you for your wonderfully inspiring discourse on Friday night at Prana Yoga in Miami. Thank you for your knowledge, your voice, and your gifts... Namaste' with Blessings
Divinely, Eden Goldman, Miami March 2005
Dear Manoramaji, It was so wonderful to participate in the satsang with you today. I learned so much in such a short time. Since moving to NY from Vancouver 3 years ago and studying at Jiva, I have wanted to take Sanskrit classes with you. Today was very inspiring and helped me realize that I need to take more time and sacrifice for my devotion, other than viceversa. Devotional chanting, and just learning, is so important to me, and I want to make it of more importance in my life. I do hope that I will get a chance to study with you. Today you spoke just what I was feeling after the chanting of the Guru Mantra. I could feel the energy of the Three dancing around and inside my body, it was a blissful experience. Thank you for that. Om Shanti. Namaste. Ashley, Student March 2005
Dearest Manorama-ji, Oh my goodness--I can't believe a month has gone by and I haven't written to you! Thank you, thank you, for everything you did for us on that wonderful Friday afternoon. Seeing you that day was the best thing that could have possibly happened to me. I passed the test! We all did. I can't stop remembering how you so lovingly taught me to write the vowels--I did it! No hesitation, either! You are so wonderful and generous and I love you so much. I put the lavender oil on my feet that night (and for the four nights after, as you instructed), and I swear to you, I slept like a baby for the first time in weeks. I'll see you next week on Wednesday at Jivamukti--can't wait.
Have a beautiful day.
With love and devotion, Narayani, Student 2005
Dear Manorama, Thank you. The students were so touched by you. And others... well I think it may be some time before they realize how special that was. We love you very much and i'm so glad you are a part of the TT program and a part of the center. We put Guruji's picture on our altar... Everything's good here. It's beautiful today.
love Dona, Founder Prana Yoga Center Miami, March 2005
Dear Manorama, Thank you for a mind expanding weekend at the Yoga Shala. I wish I didn't miss the last of it! I wanted to let you know my "parting thoughts" - that I now know a little about what I don't know - as opposed to not even being aware about what I don't know. I also have the not entirely upbeat, "it's so vast..." feeling. It reminds of the last time I saw an episode of The Elegant Universe. I kept thinking, "I can't teach another yoga class until I become an astrophysicist!" I hope to come back when you come back to the Yoga Shala... or somewhere. I keep having the vision of you saying, "Not to worry..." as you mimicked going across a river. Thanks for sharing the teachings. I've already woven a few of your gems into my classes and have honored you several times! I'm going to ask Roey to get together and practice with me when she gets back from Hawaii. Hope you are enjoying your next gig, wherever you are right now!
Wendy Boller, CT Yoga Shala 2005
Ma, I am so grateful to you for all your patience and love-- for being my teacher and a true true devi and goddess.
Love your Shri Sarah W., Student 2005
Hello Manorama, Thank you for the wonderful workshop @ Integral Yoga TT program. I was always very fascinated by Sanskrit ever since I was little, but since the workshop I am very eager to start learning more about this language. I have to say, my daughter was very jealous of me taking a workshop taught by you!!!

Dear Manorama, Just wanted to write and say Thank You for our meeting last week...it was amazing, I am so looking forward to our next one together. I will see you soon..(not soon enough!)
Love,

Dear Manorama: I have been wanting to write to you since I got back from that very sweet retreat with you and Amy. It was such a gift for me to have met you. You so inspired me with your beautiful chants, your lovely and wise spirit. I play your CD's all the time. I have been trying to learn some of the chants but my tongue is not always willing to hit the right spots. My meditation has deepened quite a bit. Something touched me deeply at the retreat and shifted my ability to move into a deeper state of conciseness. Not sure what happened. For example, I had my hair done yesterday and had to sit in a chair for quite a while. I found myself cross legged in the chair in a deep meditation in the middle of the beauty shop unaware of the bustling all around me. I must have been quite a sight with pink foils in my hair.
just ran a retreat at my home last Sunday with a yoga teacher friend. It was wonderful. We had 8 women for yoga, chanting, hiking, meditation, conscious eating and journaling. It was our first one. She has done many in her 30 years of teaching. It was a big success and we will do it again in the fall. Having been to Ananda with you and Amy really helped me get ready for giving my first retreat.
My friends name is Puja. She lived at Kripalu for 8 years and studied under Amrit Desei. She fell in love with your CD. We practice together 2 mornings a week and now meditate after listening to your CD and chanting with you. We meditated with Guruji Thurs. Morning. What a gift having him in your life! I would love to have you come here to Katonah. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, hope to see you again soon.
May you have peace and love always,
Namaste

Amy & Manorama, I was so inspired by you both at the retreat. On many levels, I felt like it was a homecoming. Thank you again for an amazing weekend. I look forward to the next opportunity to soak in your bright lights.

Hi Jen -
I met with Manorama over the weekend and absolutely loved the lesson & her (of course). I feel like I have so much more to learn from her and talk with her about .

Dearest Manorama Devi, I cannot begin to express the gratitude I feel in my heart, for your love and guidance. Something truly amazing happened this weekend I just don't know what to make of it all except to surrender and see where it takes me next. There's never a dull moment around you Devi - M... never a dull moment.... I am truly grateful for the deep silence I feel in my heart. I feel very much at peace. Today while meditating in class, I saw the image of Guru-Ji's Guru at my third eye. His image came to me, clear as a bell - during the deepest part of my meditation. I truly feel blessed Manorama, to have all of these sages by my side and to be in such amazing company. My heart feels as if it will burst with love. Shri - Shri - Shri - Manorama-ji - shri... Norma, Fall In Love Retreat Participant Nov 2004
Hi Manorama, What an absolutely invigorating and enlightening weekend! I extend my deepest thanks to you and to Amy for the chance to spend time with both of you for the first time. I feel so energized, and I just want to keep it going and going. I truly loved the intro to Sanskrit. I am so intrigued I plan on studying more; I have the feeling you'll be seeing me in Manhattan at IYI sooner rather than later. What a great group of people at the retreat! I hate to sound like a broken record, but I feel so blessed at having had the opportunity to participate with all of them. The energy generated was fantastic. In closing (for now!) I have to tell you that I had your CD playing for the entire drive back to W. Gilgo Beach, and Karen and I enjoyed it so much. I'm one of those drivers who tend to get very tense traversing that whole Bronx-NYC mess on the roadways, and I just breezed through - we made it door-to-door in two hours. You have my deepest thanks for creating such a memorable experience for me, and I know that Karen really loved it, too.
Namaste.

Dear Manorama (and Amy), I just returned from a weekly private yoga session with Suzanne Seltzer. Having worked with her most of this year, I've never seen her possess the positive energy and spirit as she did this evening. Even after being stuck on the subway for 20 minutes. The retreat last weekend allowed her a shift in perspective, and it was beautiful to witness such a different energy in Suzanne. I wish I could have been at Ananda myself last weekend. I look forward to seeing you both soon. Much love,
Marjorie, Student NYC Nov 2004
Hi Manorama Just a quick email to thank you for a wonderful weekend Retreat. My sister had a fantastic time on her first retreat. Thanks for all you're attention - Christe Sanis, Fall In Love Retreat Participant Nov 2004
Manorama, I want to thank you for a truly beautiful class on Sunday. You are truly inspiring, and I just can't even really put into words how much I enjoyed the class, the teachings, and the opportunity to hear such a beautiful language. Thank you.

Manorama, It's Wendy from LL. You were extraordinary tonight. It was a pleasure to bathe in your light. Everyone left absolutely lit up. What a treat! Wish I could join you on this weekend with you and Amy.

Dear Manorama, I attended the workshop you gave in Dallas, TX a couple of weeks ago and I loved it! I had no idea how wonderful and intriguing Sanskrit would be. I've not been quick to learn language in the past, so I was surprised to find out how much Sanskrit makes sense and appeals to me. As a teacher of yoga, it is important to me to learn Sanskrit. The workshop you gave was perfect timing and I am so glad to have the understanding of Sanskrit that you shared with us before starting school this fall because, while I enjoy the class I am taking now, it is very academic in approach. I wanted to say Thank You! And let you know that your sharing of Sanskrit has meant, and will continue to mean, a lot to me. You are a wonderful transmitter of sound, energy, and understanding! Best wishes to you in all your endeavors!
Sincerely,
Lynn B, Dallas Texas Sept 2004
Hi Manorama, Thank you for a beautiful weekend! It was such a gift to study with you. And the connection transcended any that I have ever experienced at multitudes of other yoga workshops throughout the years. Your teachings go so far beyond a language and really touch at the core. Thank you. It was wonderful to witness your devotion and admiration for your guru. He lives on through you. His presence was very powerful in the room yesterday and it was a unique and touching experience. Thank you so much for a life-altering weekend.
Many blessings,
Kim L., Dallas Texas August 2004
Hi Manorama, I participated in your workshop in Dallas. I wanted to thank you for coming to Dallas and putting on the workshop. It was so great. It has helped me so much with my yoga. I started practicing yoga in college and have kept it up off and on through the years. I taught my first yoga class on Tuesday. The Sanskrit workshop deepened my understanding of the meaning of the poses. I used my pages from your workshop to sound out the names correctly. Sanskrit is so much easier than Latin. We had 6 years of Latin in my grade school along with French, Spanish and German and it was difficult to get through all the declensions. Sanskrit makes more sense. I am planning to continue with the study. Thanks again for coming. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate it. Keep Kendall updated on your book. Also, I really love your CD. Namaste,
Barbara V., Dallas Texas August 2004
Dear Manorama ji, You have touched my heart and reminded me of my personal Guru jis all of whom have gone. But they will live forever in my heart and I remember them esp when I meet people that embody their qualities that I loved so much. One of them was Ibu Gdang “Mother Teresa” of Indonesia - whom I had the honor to meet and work on her Ashram on Bali 2 years ago, shortly before she passed away. The way you talk and carry yourself is much like her way.
Sending my best wishes your way for a wonderful day Marie, Dallas Texas August, 2004
Dear Manorama, I have been in Amma's Ashram now for a month and it has been so sweet and right that I am here. There is an Ayurvedic College that Amma has opened 10 minutes from Her Ashram and Amma told me to go to the school. It is 4 and 1/2 years and one year of internship. A main subject is Sanskrit, and it was really helpful that I have had some time already learning Sanskrit with you. Thank you for helping me in my life so much and I always carry your teachings within me. I want to let you know how glad I am to have been able to study with you and let you know how special that was. Sending you light love and deep inner peace. May grace always light your path sweet Devi Ma.
All my Love, Anavadya, NYC Student 2004
Dear Manorama:
I attended your workshop in June 2004 in Toronto at Tina Park's yoga studio. You will be happy to know that I have been working on learning the alphabet and the pronunciation of the Sanskrit letters. I am hoping that you are planning to come back to Toronto to teach.
Take care,
Andrea, Toronto Canada 2004
Hi Manorama, I just wanted to thank you for the inspirational and truly beautiful weekend in Dallas! I have been enjoying the CD, as has my three year old son and my 11 month old daughter. My son asks for the "Rama Rama Rama" song, it's very cute, especially since he usually disapproves of most of my music choices. My daughter dances along, looking very peaceful.
Namaste,
DeAnna Nielsen, Dallas Texas 2004
Manorama, Just checking to see that you made it home. I can't understand how, after knowing you for 4 days, I can miss you as much as I do, but you really touched me. Your CD is definitely #1 in Yoga Class with all of us trying to chant. Bard and I are working on Maheshvara Sutras. Thank you so much for coming to Sun Valley! Brandis L. Sarich, Sun Valley Idaho August 2005
Manorama Dear so so loved having you here as our treasured guest teacher, as a friend, and as a great inspiration to all. Thank you for making the journey and making time for us. Everyone is thankful. With Big love, all love, and big blue skies to you -

Namaste, My dearest beautiful Shri Shri Manoramaji, How happy it makes me feel to know that you are "on-tour" with the sacred teachings! So many souls will be touched by Guruji's wisdom and blue-sky compassion because of your efforts. It is just so thrilling to know that Sanskirt is going on the road! hip hip hoorah! Shri Devanagari Kai Jai! all my love and good wishes for safe and good travels, lovely friend,

Manorama, I am thrilled that you are coming to Dallas in a couple of weeks and look forward to seeing you again at the Sanskrit training. Your presence will be such a special addition to our yoga journey. Kendall has done a terrific job in uniting our yoga community here and we both agree that your teachings will help take our practices to a higher, deeper level. look forward to seeing you soon!! Camille Varland, Dallas Texas Student 2005
Manorama & Felise-I loved the whole retreat experience. I went swimming early this morning and was thinking of how Celeste's face looked when she told of her experience in the temple. It was the first time I saw any joy on her face and I was so happy for her. As for me, I feel myself at a wonderful transition-I took my keyboard and played in the woods one morning to a captive audience of 3 deer, 1 fawn and a chipmunk. I took the fact that they didn't run away as a good thing. They pateintly sat and looked at me-probably wondering what kind of animal would make those strange sounds-basking in the glorious morning sun. It was a true disney moment. I plan to explore some musical adventures at the Ashram, some day trips.. We'll see where it leads. When I came home, my husband hesitantly told me that he had somehow managed to dump my jewelry box over and half of my antique things went into the paper shredder. They are now in pieces. I didn't flinch and let it go. So I am making progress.
Love-see you soon.
Sharman, Ananda Ashram Retreat Participant June 2004
Manorama, My most heartfelt appreciation to you for all your efforts and teachings this past weekend. What love and compassion you put into all of us and the beautiful teachings you shared. Sanskrit definitely speaks to me, I felt it from the first time I heard it chanted in yoga class, and it speaks even more powerfully to me now after this weekend. In the beginning when you first shared that Guruji said "I am like the blue sky" "I am not of this body and mind", I sat back and reflected on it not fully relating or comprehending. When we visited his temple and I read his words,it was again "I am like the blue sky". It was beginning to make sense to me, slowly sinking in, what he meant by that as my experiences over the weekend grew. When we left the ashram on Sunday and we were driving home, I was daydreaming out the window at the open blue sky and an intense feeling of calm came over me....those words went through my head again, "I am like the blue sky". At that moment, I understood....For a moment, I felt more 'like the blue sky' than myself. Thank you for helping to open my eyes to that understanding and for sharing some of his invaluable teachings that I feel so honored to receive. I look forward to learning more and seeing you soon.
Sadaram,
Jennifer, Ananda Ashram Retreat Participant June 2004
Dear Manorama,
Thanks so much for a wonderful retreat last weekend. I haven't done a silent retreat in over two years and the effect is still with me as I write this. When I have a little more time, I will email some questions about Nada Yoga and Sanskrit training. Hopefully, we'll meet again soon. Thanks again.
Best,
Alan, Ananda Ashram Retreat Participant June 2004
Hi Manorama: Just a note to thank you for this past weekend. A wonderful setting. I enjoyed listening to you, the discussions and learning about sanskrit and the wisdom of your Guruji. Much food for thought.

Hey Manorama,
We have your cd in our car & Parker LOVES it. She wants to listen to it all the time & over & over. I even hear her singing the chants when she's alone in her room going to sleep at night & also in the bathtub. She especially like the one that's in harmony,

Hi Manorama, Wanted to say thanks again for the great workshop on Saturday. That, along with the whole ashram experience has renewed my dedication to meditating daily. I have three preschool age kids, and its easy to forget or just get lazy. I think of the story of your mom drying cow dung and hope I can be as good an influence on my kids! Look where it led you! Heather Black, Ananda Ashram Mini Retreat Participant May 2004
Dear Manorama, It was so great to see you on Saturday. Thank you for being at our graduation. I'm still absorbing the immenseness of it all. Your words of wisdom will be remembered always. My family loved your explanations of everything that has become second nature for the TT's at Yoga Shanti but seemed different to some of our families and friends. The weekends we spent with you were so special. I love re-reading my notes and remembering all of Guruji's wisdom which you were so kind to share with us. I will have to make my way up to the Ashram one of these weekends to enjoy a retreat with you. Until the next time, be well and many blessings.
Love

Manorama,
Thanks very much for being at Yoga Shanti Saturday night. It meant a lot to me because you were such an important part of our teacher training. Thanks again for the insights and the inspiration. John P., Yoga Shanti TT, May 2004
Manorama, Thank you so much for your Sanskrit class, I was fascinated by it. I hope to come up to Ananda and study with you in June, but I do know that you created a wonderful interest in your passion for my classmates and myself. And of course your chanting is so beautiful.
Thank you and Namaste,

Hi Manorama, Thank you does not do justice to the way that I feel having spent a weekend at Ananda with you. My gratitude cannot be expressed with language; trust that it comes directly from my heart. You have touched my life in limitless ways in such a short period of time. I love you for your wisdom, your dedication and your compassion. It is always a pleasure to spend time with you. I especially loved your instruction about the Gayatri mantra and the insights that you shared. It has informed my thinking even in the past 24 hours. I hope you are well and I look ever forward to seeing you again soon. With Love, Shana K.S., Ananda Ashram Spring Retreat Participant 2004

Hi Manorama been playing your cd in classes and everyone loves it!!

Manorama, See you're doing Wednesday nights once a month at Jivamukti. I'm going to try to come to one of them. I meant what I said at Colleen's last month. To me, the best part of those weekends wasn't the Sanskrit or the Yoga Sutras or the Bhagavad Gita. It was you and being in your presence. John P., Yoga Shanti TT, March 2004
Hi Manorama ji, Al and I listen to your CD everyday and I have learnt most of the Mantras except the last one - AL. However, I will practice that. Thank you for producing this beautiful CD, which I am now addicted to. We really enjoyed your teachings and Ana Margaret often wishes you were with us when we have difficulty in pronouncing some Sanskrit words. Hope to see you again soon, looking forward to hearing from you.
Namaste,
Kalpana and AL, Prana Yoga TT, March 2004
Dear Manorama, It was such a gift to be a part of your study program. I enjoyed every minute of it. Watching you glow with serenity when you speak of your Guruji, as well as your joy in it and your wonderful sense of humor. I learned so much about the Skt texts. I hope to see you again soon.

Hi Manoramaji, I want to thank you for your class. Going in I had certain expectations of what the class would be like, but what I got was something completely different and so much more rewarding. The learning environment was really supportive, and up till then I never experienced learning in such a way as you had taught.
Thanks again.
Sahil G., Student NYC 2004
hey m! thank you so much for making that cd, i listen to it almost every morning with my early practice, and i've got it so that i just slip into corpse posture as you begin reciting Panini (very interesting stuff that, most deliciously daunting and dense). sometimes it is so inspirational i want to fly back to nyc and sit at your feet for a decade or so. yamaataaraajabhaanasalagaa) chapter 15 of the BG. how to know so much about that awesome tree without getting caught in the knowing? and i'm glad i remembered my questions! i hope i will hear from you soon! may all hope and happiness fall gently as so much refreshing summer rain! jayapaa, China Jan 2004
Hi Manorama,
I just wanted to drop you a note to say how much I am truly enjoying the Sanskrit class. I feel a very deep connection to the language (something I realized this summer, which is why I have been so eager to take a class with you) and also to you. I am really interested in continuing to study Sanskrit and the philosophy/spirituality that encompasses it. So I just wanted to say thank you for opening my mind and ears a little bit more to life. Nicci R., JMYC Student Jan 2004
Dear Manorama, It was so wonderful to study with you, I am hoping to make it up to Ananda for the weekend workshop. I played your CD to my four year old daughter Mirabai. She said that it sounds beautiful. "Who is the woman singing, she is a good mother. Does she have a kid?" I said no, and then she said "that's too bad, it would be a lucky kid" I thought that was so sweet. I'm sure you have so many students who are your children, of some sort. Look forward to seeing you soon. Namaste.
Kate Rabinowitz, East Hampton NY, Jan 2004
Dear Manorama Thank you for the 2 wonderful weekends in East Hampton. I have to tell you that they were the most profound classes so far in this training and in my pursuit of yoga. You articulated and explained many thoughts that have been roaming around in my mind for years and attached many words to questions of purpose that I have had. I am looking forward (and also a bit overwhelmed) to venturing through the endless words I wrote during the 90 hours spent with you. You have also been an impetus for my REGULAR meditation practice. I look forward to March.
Warmest and sincerest regards, Sarah Halweil, Yoga Shanti TT, Jan 2004, Sag Harbor NY
Manorama Thank you for sharing your knowledge & wisdom in such a passionate way. These few days over Thanksgiving at Ananda definately left footprints on my heart & soul...

Hi Manorama, II wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the Sanskrit I class. It's really opened a wonderful new aspect of my yoga practice, and I definitely hope to continue my study. How was your cd release party? I'm sorry I missed the live performance at Jiva. You've created a magical combination of inner and outer sound that truly makes the mantras come alive for me.
